Travel Tips: Dover Speedway – May 2-5, 2019

The first race weekend at Dover Speedway for the 2019 NASCAR season is the Gander RV 400 weekend, Thursday through Sunday, May 2-5. All three of NASCAR’s top-tier series – Monster Energy NASCAR Cup, Xfinity and Gander Outdoors Truck Series – will be in action at “the Monster Mile” in Delaware.

On Friday, there will be a free Gander Outdoors Truck Series autograph session at the Winston Cup Mobile Museum in the FanZone at 11 a.m. ET – wristbands will be handed out beginning at 10 a.m. ET.

On Saturday, the free 50th Anniversary Bash for the speedway will be held at the Xfinity Stage in Victory Plaza beginning at 3 p.m. ET. This will feature scheduled appearances (subject to change) by William Byron, Jimmie Johnson, Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Darrell Waltrip and others.

  • Gander Outdoors Truck Series practice – 2:05 and 4:05 p.m. ET
Friday, May 3 –
  • Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice – 11:05 a.m.  ET
  • Xfinity Series practice – 12:05 and 2:30 p.m. ET
  • Gander Outdoors Truck Series qualifying – 1:10 p.m. ET
  • Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series qualifying – 3:40 p.m. ET
  • Gander Outdoors Truck Series JEGS 200 – 5 p.m. ET
Saturday, May 4 –
  • Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practice – 9:05 a.m. and noon ET
  • Xfinity Series qualifying – 10:10 a.m. ET
  • Xfinity Series Allied Steel Buildings 200 – 1:30 p.m. ET
Sunday, May 5 –
