Kyle Busch earned his first NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series victory of the season on Friday, February 21st at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Busch led 108 of 134 laps at the 1.5-mile track. Busch’s seventh consecutive win was his 57th in the series overall.

“I don‘t know why but we just couldn't fire off on the restarts,” Busch said. “We just didn't have any speed. Once we got about 10 laps in, we started to check away from everybody. This Tundra was awesome — it really had great long-run speed.”

“It was the first win for (crew chief) Danny Stockman at KBM, and it‘s cool to have him on board. My guys worked their butts off. We unloaded and we really weren't that close. We worked on it a lot with this new tire, and we got it a lot better.”

Pole sitter Johnny Sauter finished second, followed by Austin Hill, Matt Crafton, and Ben Rhodes.

Zane Smith finished sixth, Todd Gilliland seventh, Tanner Gray eighth, Stewart Friesen and Sheldon Creed rounded out the top 10.

Christian Eckes finished 23rd out of 32 trucks after spinning on Lap 74. Eckes led 10 laps and finished second in Stage 1 and Stage 2.

A Look Ahead

The Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series head to Atlanta Motor Speedway in March 14th.

Busch won the event last year after leading 92 laps and holding off Sauter.

Can Busch make it eight in a row or will a Truck Series regular find Victory Lane?
