Austin Hill earned his first win of the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season at Kansas Speedway, with an almost three second margin-of-victory over Brett Moffitt.

Hill, who is the points leader, led 65 of 134 laps during the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 200.

“We’ve been working so hard this season.” Hill said, “We’ve been really consistent. Last week was a bummer, having engine troubles.

“I told the guys before coming here, ‘You know we finished fourth here last year—let’s finish three spots better.’ And I’ll be danged if we didn’t.”

Grant Enfinger finished third, followed by Matt Crafton, and Derek Kraus rounded out the top-five finishers, making him the highest finishing rookie. Kraus missed his high school graduation to attend Friday’s event.

Tyler Ankrum and Ross Chastain finished 33rd and 34th, respectively, after suffering from brake problems.

There were four cautions in total, two for incidents. One on Lap 19 for a Robby Lyons spin and on Lap 82 for Korbin Forrister.

A Look Ahead

The Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series is back at Kansas Speedway Saturday for the last race of their doubleheader weekend.

Ankrum now sits below the cutoff, while Kraus holds a four-point advantage over the GMS Racing driver.

Travis Pastrana will be making his NASCAR return, driving the No. 40 normally driven by Ross Chastain.

“I don’t know why; I wasn’t very good at turning left, but I’m going to pull the old NASCAR helmet off the wall,” Pastrana said in his Instagram on Thursday, July 23rd.
