John Hunter Nemechek Joining Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2021
John Hunter Nemechek will return to the Camping World Truck Series in 2021, joining Kyle Busch Motorsports for a full-time effort in the No. 4 Toyota Tundra.
The announcement comes after Nemechek announced earlier this month that he would not return to Front Row Motorsports. In his rookie Cup season, the 23-year-old earned three top-10 finishes.
“When it comes down to it, winning never hurts,” Nemechek said, “Winning can only help you and help your marketability. I want to win races. I’m here to win races. That’s ultimately what it came down to.”
“I think being an experienced driver in the Truck Series and the Xfinity Series, and having one year of Cup underneath my belt, is definitely going to help as well.”
Nemechek hopes to return to victory lane driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, who earned championships in 2015 with Erik Jones and in 2017 with Christopher Bell. The organization has 80 wins, which is the most in series history.
Nemechek earned six victories in the CWTS with his family-owned team at NEMCO Motorsports, his last coming at Martinsville in 2018.
