Austin Hill earned his second victory of the 2021 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season on Saturday at Watkins Glen (NY.)  Hill was leading on Lap 61 when the race was paused and eventually called due to lightning in the area, and also because an Xfinity race was scheduled for later in the day at the same track.

Hill lead a race-high of 36 laps. John Hunter Nemechek finished second, Sheldon Creed third, with Todd Gilliland and Parker Kligerman rounding out the top five.

Zane Smith placed sixth, Tyler Ankrum finished seventh, and Paul Menard, Sam Mayer, and Carson Hocevar finished eighth through 10th.

Chad Chastain, the younger brother of Cup Series driver Ross Chastain, finished 35th in his series debut after an early incident.

Derek Kraus and AJ Allmendinger finished 22nd and 28th, respectively, after a Lap 53 crash in the inner loop.

The CWTS Playoff field was set with the conclusion of the United Rentals 176 at The Glen. The 10-driver field includes Nemechek, Ben Rhodes, Gilliland, Hill, Creed, Smith, Matt Crafton, Hocevar, Stewart Friesen, and Chandler Smith.

A Look Ahead to the Playoffs

After a week off, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series heads to the World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway (near St Louis) on August 20th, where they will kick off the series Playoffs.

One year ago, Creed earned his third victory at the 1.25-mile track, holding off Brett Moffitt and Hill.

Can Creed secure his ticket to the next round of the playoffs early? Find out on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 9 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
