Chris Buescher Tests Positive for COVID-19, Zane Smith to Make Cup debut at Gateway

Chris Buescher will miss this weekend’s events at the World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway after testing positive for COVID-19.
NASCAR Camping World Truck Series star Zane Smith will fill in for the driver of the No. 17 Ford, which will be his Cup series debut.
Smith has led a CWTS record high of 253 laps while piloting the No. 38 for Front Row Motorsports.
Buescher expects to return for next weekend’s Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.
Buescher is 21st in the NASCAR Cup Series standings, 14 points behind 23XI Racing’s Kurt Busch. He has three top-10 finishes this season.
