Todd Gilliland earned his third career Camping World Truck Series victory on Saturday night at Knoxville Raceway.

Gilliland earned the win in a one-off race driving the No. 17 Frontline Enterprises Ford for his father, David Gilliland. Gilliland led 58 of the 150 laps at the half-mile dirt track, holding off John Hunter Nemechek by a 0.945 margin of victory.

“This will make tomorrow a lot more fun,” said Gilliland of his Father’s Day plans of golfing with his dad. “The Cup Series is tough, just racing every single week. I've had like a million people ask me, 'Is this really what you want to do on your off week?'”

Gilliland's answer? “Absolutely! Nothing beats racing. I tell everyone I'm young, and I wish I could do this every single week of the year. … I love the trucks. I ran here forever, it felt like. So to be able to come back and to get one, it's so special.”

Gilliland secured his Father’s Day gift, but it came at the expense of Carson Hocevar’s early departure after his No. 42 Chevrolet’s engine expired after 66 laps.

Zane Smith finished third, while Ty Majeski and Stewart Friesen rounded out the top five.

Derek Kraus finished sixth, while Matt Crafton, Grant Enfinger, Tyler Ankrum, and Ben Rhodes finished seventh through 10th place, respectively.

Hailie Deegan finished in the 15th position, matching her best finish at Gateway for the 2022 season.

A Look Ahead

The Camping World Truck Series ends the eight consecutive week stretch next Friday when the series heads to Nashville Super Speedway.

Ryan Preece won the race one year ago when the series returned to the 1.333-mile track after a 10-year hiatus.

With three races remaining in the series regular season, Crafton sits on the bubble over Kraus by 27 points.

Don’t miss the series at Nashville on Friday, June 24th at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
