NASCAR Fantasy Fusion: Kwik Trip 250 at Road America

It's time for making some rights and lefts. Yup, we're road racing this weekend as we pull into Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin's Road America, the third of six road courses on the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series schedule – Circuit of The Americas, Sonoma Raceway, Road America, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course, Watkins Glen International and Charlotte ROVAL. Trackhouse Racing teammates Ross Chastain (Circuit of The Americas) and Daniel Suárez (Sonoma) have already won the first two road course races of the year.  Will the 14-turn, 4.048-mile track produce a new race winner or will it be a familiar road racing elite driver like last year's Road America Cup race winner Chase Elliott or AJ Allmendinger? Stay tuned.

This Week's Pick Strategy: Think double-duty drivers this weekend as well as those drivers who circle road courses on the schedule. Doing double-duty this weekend is Kyle Larson, who is the pole winner for the Xfinity Series race. Joining Larson will be Cole Custer, Tyler Reddick, Josh Bilicki, Ty Dillon, and AJ Allmendinger.

The Likely Suspects:  My road course elites include: Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Larson, Joey Logano, Kurt Busch, Martin Truex Jr., AJ Allmendinger, and Kyle Busch.

My 2 Cents: My no-brainer pick is Chase Elliott. My next choices are Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch, Tyler Reddick, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Christopher Bell. I will complete my team with AJ Allmendinger and Cole Custer.

My Final Four: Ryan Blaney, Kurt Busch, Christopher Bell, and AJ Allmendinger.

Second-Look Driver: This week's second-look driver is the driver of the No. 8 car, Tyler Reddick, who finished eighth last year at Road America. Reddick has the fifth-best average running position of 8.129 and the third-best driver rating of 106.2. Although his performance has been a bit inconsistent this year, Reddick has been knocking on the door to his first Cup Series win. Maybe this week we'll see him in Victory Lane.

Enjoy the race!
