Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s One on One Chat with Fans!

On Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. Eastern Time, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was live from his office and answering questions from fans. WWW.USTREAM.TV held this once in a lifetime event promoting a new Web site called AMP up the 88.

Fans connected in the chatroom from all around the world from different sites such as Twitter, AIM, Myspace and Facebook. Some were in there days before the actual event just to be the first one to ask a question.

Earnhardt Jr. came right on and instantly started answering the questions. The first question was an intense one. It was: "What is you greatest accomplishment so far?" Jr. answered about the fact that he has yet to win a championship in the Sprint Cup series but that the two championships in what was known as the Busch series, winning the Daytona 500 and winning the All Star race as a rookie were some of his greatest accomplishments.

Every question Dale answered was detailed and gave great insight into the mindset that he has. Junior mentioned that he learned a lot last year about attitude and he is trying to keep positive and rub that off on his team as well.

Earnhardt Jr. even went on to discuss the music he listens to and what he looks for in music, taking away from the seriousness of racing for a little bit. Another fan asked a question along the lines of if Junior enjoyed working with Tony Stewart on the track, and he said Stewart was fun to work with on the track. He also mentioned that Stewart is a little hard to race as he has standards for his competitors, which he has every right to. He also mentioned how himself and Tony Stewart have a way of trusting each other on the track.

One question that surprised me was about his nicknames - which ones he liked and disliked. He doesn't care so much for Junebug cause he was a little too old for that, and he mentioned that Darrell Waltrip might get mad at him for that one. He did also mention that he hasn't grown out of "Junior" yet and he is used to "Dale."

I called him Junebug in my question. That is probably why they didn't answer it.

Most were decent enough to not ask questions about his personal life, including me who had to refrain from asking, "Will you marry me?" Once the Q&A section was done about Dale Earnhardt Jr. and racing, he answered questions about his dog Killer, which was the best part of the whole interview. Junior said about Killer, "He's the guy we are all chasing in souvenir sales." He also mentioned how he always wanted an Irish Setter because he had one when he was younger and he felt he was ready to get a dog. The Biffles brought over Killer and it was love at first sight!

Tune in next week on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 12:30 p.m. EST when crew chief of the No. 88, Lance McGrew, answers the fans' questions!

Oh and P.S Dale Earnhardt Jr. did not answer my question, but it was still a great experience.
