Paula's 2010 Championship Picks
The 2010 NASCAR season is finally here and we are excited to get the racing underway. Today one of our newest contributors, Paula Thompson shares her picks with you.
2010 Sprint Cup Series Champion - Tony Stewart
Stewart-Haas Racing showed everyone they were a force to be reckoned with in 2009, with both Stewart and teammate Ryan Newman in the Chase, and Stewart winning four races; if anyone can stop Jimmie Johnson's dominance, this is the team to do it. Look for both drivers in the Chase again, with the Boss coming out on top in the end.
2010 Nationwide Series Champion - Brad Keselowski
Since Kyle Busch is cutting back to 25 races in 2010, the Nationwide Series will be looking for a new brash, young driver to liven up the shows and the points standings. Keselowski has already shown his potential in the Cup series with his win last year at Talladega, and he'll only improve with more seat time.
"Onion," one of the series most consistent competitors, has finished in the top four in points every year since 2005. The 2006 champion has found his niche running for Germain Racing in the Truck series, and has come a long way from being "Geoff and Brett's little brother."
