Pole Report: Kobalt Tools 400 (NSCS - Las Vegas)


Matt Kenseth captured the pole at Las Vegas Motor Speedway; his last pole was at Darlington in 2009. Kenseth broke the track record with a speed of 188.884 mph. Kurt Busch held the previous record with a speed of 188.719 mph, which was set last year. This is Kenseth’s fifth career pole. He is working to end his 72-race losing streak.
