NASCAR's high rollers head to Las Vegas, hoping Lady Luck rolls in their favor. The Sprint Cup Series and the Nationwide Series make their annual stop at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The 1.5-mile, D-shaped oval is the first intermediate track on the schedule. The season opened with talk of the newly repaved Daytona and the about-to-be reconfigured Phoenix, so it's relevant to point out Las Vegas underwent its own reconfiguration in 2006. The track benefited from adding progressive banking - 20 degrees in the turns, 9 degrees on the frontstretch and 9 degrees on the backstretch - which has allowed for more side-by-side racing.

As the Sprint Cup Series converges on Las Vegas, it is only fitting that natives Kyle and Kurt Busch lead the points standings. It's the first time since 1988, when Bobby and Davey Allison sat 1-2 in the points after the Daytona 500, that relatives have lead the standings. Kyle has one win at his home track while Kurt has yet to claim one here. Will Lady Luck smile on one of the Busch brothers this week?

The Kobalt Tools 400 Sprint Cup race is Sunday and the Sam's Town 300 Nationwide race is Saturday. The Camping World Truck Series is off this week and will return March 12 at Darlington.

Here are last year's race winners at Vegas:

SPRINT CUP
Jimmie Johnson (has won 4 out of last 6 races)

NATIONWIDE
Kevin Harvick
