Pole Report: Sam's Town 300 (NNS - Vegas)

Carl Edwards won the pole for today's Sam's Town 300 Nationwide race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway with a lap of 181.824 mph (29.699 seconds). This is Edwards' first pole of the season and the first for the Ford Mustang since the model became the full-time Nationwide car for the manufacturer in 2011. This marks Edwards' 22nd pole in his Nationwide career and his second at Las Vegas.

The top three cars in qualifying topped 181 mph. Kyle Busch will start on the outside pole and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will start third. Kevin Harvick and Mark Martin round out the top 5. Forty-three cars were entered so all made the field.

The Sam's Town 300 will be broadcast today at 3 p.m. ET on ABC from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Green flag is estimated for 3:15 p.m. ET. Pre-race show starts at 2:30 p.m. ET.
