Pole Report: Jamie McMurray wins pole for Goody's Fast Pain Relief 500

Jamie McMurray won his eight career pole on Saturday afternoon at Martinsville Speedway. His time was 19.621 seconds with a speed of 96.509 mph. He is currently sitting in 28^th place in Cup standings, and hopes to improve that for Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing. McMurray said, “This is a really big race for our team. We’ve had fast cars all year, and just haven’t had the luck and haven’t been able to put finishes together.
