NASCAR In Heels: Ricky vs. Trevor Edition

The Great American Sport through the eyes of a single girl.

First off, I want to congratulate Ricky Stenhouse Jr. on winning his first Nationwide Series Championship this past weekend. Ricky put on a very impressive performance this season with his two race wins, but he also impressed in the famous Ricky vs Trevor challenges, and it is that Ricky vs Trevor battle that I am going to examine this week.

I think Ricky definitely had the edge over Trevor, winning the majority of the challenges. These were very entertaining and an excellent way for the fans to interact with the young, popular drivers. Of course, some of these proved to be more entertaining than others, the following are my favourites from the season:

1. The Shake-Off: In this challenge the guys held two boxes of Tic-Tacs between their teeth and shook their heads to empty the boxes. This was s funny! They kind of looked like little puppy dogs when they were shaking their heads around!

2. Gesundheit: This was a very original challenge! They each had two boxes of tissues and they had to pull them all out as quick as they could. So simple, yet extremely entertaining!

3. The ESPN Challenge: The crackers, Peeps, and Oreos…a great combination! Here the guys had 3 different challenges revolving around the aforementioned snacks. I feel for Trevor with this one, he didn’t know how to whistle, so he didn’t have much of a chance. There’s something to check off the bucket list on the off-season – learn to whistle!
4. The Dance Off: This was hilarious! I’m sure you know how fun it is to play “Just Dance,” and if you don’t GO PLAY IT, you will not be disappointed! They looked so funny dancing along with the screen, and you could really see the concentration they had. It was nice to see them look kind of silly; I mean they have practically been pros at most of the challenges, so I liked to see them out of their comfort zone!
Now, if you didn’t already know I always love looking at things from a different perspective. So I found a couple NASCAR fans, and we tested out some of the Ricky vs. Trevor competitions. I also took some time to chat with them when we were done. Check out the video below to see all the action! (You will understand the different perspective when you watch the video!)
