After Kyle Busch’s retaliatory action in Friday night’s NCWTS race (for a full recap read: Harvick wins NCWTS race while Busch gets parked for the evening), NASCAR parked the driver for the entire weekend.

Mike Helton, president of NASCAR, addressed the Busch situation on Saturday morning at Texas Motor Speedway, saying that the "boys, have at it" line was crossed. Helton said, “We’ll know it when we see it, we saw it last night,” referencing the limit to the “have at it” mantra they have been preaching.

Helton also said that additional penalties could be forthcoming; this was just an event penalty. “This speaks to the uniqueness and severity of the topic. We take our responsibility to control the event very seriously.”

Filling in for Busch this weekend will be Denny Hamlin in the Nationwide Series and Michael McDowell in the Sprint Cup Series.
