Truex Jr.'s crew chief Johnston welcomes baby boy; Miller to serve as interim crew chief at MIS


Congratulations to Chad Johnston, crew chief of the No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and his wife Stacey.

Last night, Johnston received an early Father’s Day present as his son, Chase Allen Johnston, arrived at 10:32 p.m. ET.  The baby boy weighed in at 9 lbs. and 20.75 inches long. He joins big sister Sydnee into the family.

Plans are for Johnston to remain in Mooresville, N.C., with his family for the remainder of the weekend.

Serving as interim crew chief for driver Martin Truex Jr. and the NAPA Racing team for Sunday’s Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway is Scott Miller, Michael Waltrip Racing executive vice president of competition.
