Ryan Newman, driver of the No. 39 Chevrolet for Stewart-Haas Racing, will be showcasing sponsor Code 3 Associates during the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway. Code 3 Associates is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that specializes in animal rescue and recovery in disaster areas.
Since both Ryan Newman and three-time, reigning Cup champion Tony Stewart have foundations that specialize in animal welfare, they have decided to partner together with Code 3 Associates to collectively service communities in this particular area.
Eric Bagdikian, President of Code 3 Associates, stated the following, “A benefactor, who wishes to remain anonymous, approached us based on our mutual interest in animal welfare and NASCAR, and asked where he might be able to support our mission in NASCAR. Knowing of Ryan and Tony’s respective animal-oriented foundations, collaboration with Stewart-Haas Racing became the obvious choice. By partnering with Ryan and Tony’s foundations, all three organizations have broadened their scope and ability to serve the community.”
“Code 3 Associates has been a great partner for our foundation and we look forward to growing this partnership. Their compassion for animals is something my wife Krissie and I both share. They aren’t just a partner that writes a check and our first meeting was like seeing old friends again. They have a lot of knowledge to offer and always answer our calls when we’re presented with questions and needs form animal groups in areas where tragedy has hit,” said Newman.
“The extraordinary gift from Code 3 Associates enabled the Tony Stewart Foundation to provide additional funds to top-tier organizations serving animals and children. The programs selected have a ripple effect beyond the lives of those receiving direct services, and the partnership with Code 3 Associates will impact hundreds of animals and children throughout the United States,” said Stewart.
Due to this community-oriented partnership, the Tony Stewart Foundation has been able to give sizeable grants to a variety of animal advocacy groups such as the Indiana Canine Assistant Network (ICAN), Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, Ryan Newman’s Rescue Ranch and the Humane Society of Indianapolis. The Ryan New Foundation has been able to award $560,000 in grant funding to 142 groups throughout the United States.
