“It’s Bristol, baby!”

Three words have never said so much about a NASCAR race weekend, and it means even more in August, when all three of NASCAR’s top series, along with NASCAR’s oldest series, the Whelen Modified Tour, invade "Thunder Valley" for the IRWIN Tools Night Race weekend, taking place Wednesday through Saturday, Aug. 21-24.

Even with all the action on the track, there is plenty happening off the track as well. The biggest event is Food City Race Night, taking place from 1-9 p.m. ET on State St. in Bristol, TN and Bristol, VA on Thursday, Aug. 22. The fun includes live music, show cars, vendors, driver appearances, food sampling and more. Tickets are $5 in advance, $6 at the gate.

Another event on Thursday is the Ford Transporter Parade, starting at Bristol Mall at 9 p.m. ET and ending at the speedway. Before heading on their 10-mile journey to the track, the drivers of these big rigs will meet with fans in the parking lot of Bristol Mall.
