Travel Tips: Atlanta Motor Speedway – Feb. 22-24, 2019

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series and Gander Outdoors Truck Series will once again race this weekend, Friday through Sunday, Feb. 22-24, at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Georgia. The Cup Series’ Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 goes green on Sunday, while the Trucks and Xfinity Series both race on Saturday.

On Thursday, Feb. 21, the NASCAR Cup Series Hauler Parade kicks off at 5 p.m. ET, beginning in downtown Hampton on Richard Petty Blvd. Find more details and a map of the parade route here.

Speedway Children’s Charities has a number of events scheduled for the weekend, including the NRA Foundation’s David Ragan Clay Shoot on Thursday at Cherokee Rose Sporting Resort in nearby Griffin, the Corn Hole Championship on Saturday night, and Hot Laps on the Track on Monday. On Sunday before the Cup Series race, driver Ryan Blaney will try to break the Guinness World Record for selfies. The current record is 168 in three minutes, set by James Smith in Jan. 2018 – Blaney’s attempt will begin at 11 a.m. ET on Sunday in the Speedway Fan Zone – find out more here.
