The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series visit
the “Track Too Tough to Tame,” Darlington Raceway in Darlington, SC, for the
annual Bojangles’ Southern 500 weekend, Friday through Sunday, Aug. 30-Sept. 1.
The Cup Series’ Southern 500 goes green on Sunday, Sept. 1, while the Xfinity
Series runs in the Sports Clips Haircuts VFW 200 on Saturday, Aug. 31.
Festivities kick off on Thursday, Aug. 29 with the 15th
annual Darlington Car Hauler Parade and Festival. The festival begins at 4 p.m. ET at the Florence Center,
featuring a KidsZone, a silent auction and more. The Hauler Parade leaves the Florence
Center at 7 p.m. ET; it makes its way through Darlington Square before ending
at the “Lady in Black.”
NASCAR Hall of Famers Terry (2016 class) and Bobby (2020
class) Labonte will serve as Grand Marshalls for the Southern 500 Parade on
Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. The parade will take a new route through the City of Darlington
