Sheldon Creed earned his fourth victory of the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series season on Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway.

Creed received a push from teammate Brett Moffitt during the SpeedyCash.com 400 on a restart after the event’s 10th and final caution that sent the event into overtime.

“Man, what a good truck my guys put together,” Creed said. “We’ve been inconsistent here, but we’ve always had speed, and today, man, just awesome. I finally won in front of my mom and dad. They’re here today.

“Two trucks locked in for the organization — that’s awesome — and hopefully we can get the other two (Zane Smith and Tyler Ankrum) or at least one more next weekend. Hard racing today. Man, it’s crazy. We’ve just been working for this all year, and I feel like I’ve improved so much and put so much work into this. Man, going to Martinsville stress-free is so nice.”

Austin Hill finished second, Zane Smith finished third and Raphael Lessard finished fourth. Moffitt, who locked himself into the Championship 4 last weekend at Kansas, rounded out the top five.

A caution for Ben Rhodes and Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Christian Eckes sent the race into overtime. Rhodes purposefully tagged the No. 18 in retaliation after Eckes sent Rhodes up the track and out of the groove late in the race.

Rhodes is in a must-win situation heading into Martinsville, 38 points outside the Championship 4 cutoff.

A multiple lap battle between Johnny Sauter and Stewart Friesen ended with both the drivers in the outside wall. Sauter ended his day in 23rd place, while Friesen brought it home 28th.

Grant Enfinger suffered a blown engine on Lap 92, which ended his chance of victory at the 1.5-mile track. He, too, must win at Martinsville for a chance to compete for the 2020 series championship in Phoenix on Nov. 6th.

A Look Ahead

The Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series head to Martinsville Speedway next Friday on Oct. 30, 2020 for the final chance at securing a place into the Championship 4.

Creed leads Hill by 19 points, while ThorSport Racing has three drivers below the cutoff in Crafton, Enfinger and Rhodes. They are fifth through seventh, respectively. Tyler Ankrum is eighth, 113 points behind Hill.

Don’t miss the Trucks on Oct. 30th at 8 p.m.ET on Fox Sports 1.
