Sheldon Creed’s playoff momentum from Gateway carried over to Darlington Raceway, where he secured his third win of the 2021 Camping World Truck Series season.
Creed led 104 of 147 laps at the 1.366-mile track, helping him earn back-to-back victories since the series Playoffs began at the World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway.
Creed earned Sunday’s victory during the In It To Win It 200 from the pole position.
Regular-season champion John Hunter Nemechek finished second, 0.531 second behind Creed. Nemechek clinched his ticket into the Round of 8 with his runner-up finish at Darlington.
Stewart Friesen finished third, while Todd Gilliland and Parker Kligerman rounded out the top-five finishers.
Grant Enfinger, Chandler Smith, Johnny Sauter, Zane Smith, and Matt Crafton earned sixth through 10th place, respectively.
Playoff contender Ben Rhodes finished in the 34th position after being caught up in a wreck on Lap 67. Rhodes was caught between the No. 02 of Kris Wright and the No. 24 of Jack Wood in Turn 4.
A Look Ahead (Into the Playoffs)
The Camping World Truck Series heads to Bristol Motor Speedway on September 16th, where Sam Mayer is the defending winner from September 2020, after the series spent the spring event on the dirt.
Zane Smith and Chandler Smith are below the cutoff with one race to go in the Round of 10. Zane Smith is five points away from Austin Hill, who is eighth in the standings, while Chandler Smith is 12 points behind Hill.
Will Creed sweep the Round of 10 at Bristol? Or will another playoff driver secure their advancement to continue battling for the 2021 championship?
Find out on Thursday, September 16th at 9 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
