Kligerman led 56 of the 67 laps during the O’Reilly Auto Parts 150 on the way to his third career Truck Series win. He held off series points leader Zane Smith by a 0.119-second margin of victory.
“It’s hard to put into words,” Kligerman told FS1. “This whole team is like a team of second chances. Two years ago, I thought my driving days were done. This team gave me a call and wanted to get back racing, and it’s just been steady improvement since. … It’s unbelievable when you put a talented group of people together what they can achieve.”
Kligerman collected an extra $50,000 paycheck bonus during the series final race of the Triple Truck Challenge. This year’s initiative challenge began at Gateway, where Corey Heim took the winnings. Ryan Preece collected in Nashville.
Smith finished second at Mid-Ohio, which helped the young start add to his lead in the points standings. Carson Hocevar brought it home strong in third, while Stewart Friesen and Christian Eckes rounded out the top-five finishers.
