Kyle Busch earned his first Craftsman Truck Series victory of the 2023 season on Friday night at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Busch led 84 of the 134 laps during the Victoria‘s Voice Foundation 200.

Busch dominated the event and won by almost a five-second margin of victory over Zane Smith.

“There were a couple dicey moments in traffic—not too bad—but I would have loved to have raced with Zane,” Busch said. “They kind of got off strategy where we were able to cycle up, and we got clean air for most of the start of that last run.

“He came through the field and got to second, and we kind of maintained. If we‘d have been able to race it out, it would have been a hell of a show. But all in all, just a great night here, to be able to win in Las Vegas again—and you‘ve got to win the first to be able to win all three. Right?”

Smith led eight laps of the night and secured the Stage 1 victory, while Ben Rhodes, Corey Heim, and Ty Majeski rounded out the top five.

Christian Eckes finished sixth, Carson Hocevar was seventh, while Chase Purdy, Grant Enfinger and Jake Garcia finished eighth through 10th place, respectively.

A Look Ahead

The Craftsman Truck Series heads south in two weeks for the Fr8 208 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
