In a year where drivers fought fuel mileage and overcame it to find victory lane, Corey Heim added his name to the list, securing his sixth Craftsman Truck Series victory of the season.

Heim overcame multiple mishaps to battle with Daniel Hemric in overtime at Watkins Glen. He overshot the bus stop and was required to perform a stop-and-go penalty.

When he rejoined the leaders to race for the win, Heim and his team knew he was low on fuel. He was able to make it, gaining the fourth consecutive road course victory of his career.

Hemric held on for second, Gio Ruggiero earned his fourth top-five finish with third, while Christopher Bell and Tyler Ankrum rounded out the top five.

Sammy Smith finished sixth, Ty Majeski, Connor Zilisch, Matt Mills and Layne Riggs finished seventh through 10th place, respectively.

ThorSport Racing and Spire Motorsports had an eventful and challenging race. ThorSport Racing’s Ben Rhodes went spinning after the tire flew off the No. 99 Ford.

Meanwhile, Spire Motorsports had early outs for both Rajah Caruth and Kyle Busch. Caruth’s day ended on Lap 45 with a broken axle on his Chevrolet. Busch also had mechanical issues--a broken steering box. They finished 32nd and 36th, respectively.

A Look Ahead

The Craftsman Truck Series completes the regular season finale next Friday at Richmond Raceway.

Rhodes and Ruggiero are vying for the final spot to compete for the 2025 championship. They're currently 10 points from each other in 10th and 11th place, respectively.
