Edwards started from the pole with Harvick beside him, and by lap 5 they had already swapped the lead three times between them.
On lap 20, Jennifer Jo Cobb spun in turn 4, bringing out a caution. After this week's drama, see: Total Drama: NASCAR and also Jen Cobb Stands Up and Move On: California Bound, Cobb was unable to finish the race and was scored in 38th position.
Besides all the Sprint Cup drivers dominating the top few positions, the Nationwide-only drivers had a great day. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. led 10 laps, breezing by his teammate Carl Edwards for the lead. Elliott Sadler, Aric Almirola and Trevor Bayne all managed to hang within the top 10 most of the race.
On the final series of pit stops, with less than 20 laps to go Busch's crew chief Jason Ratcliff made the call for a two-tire stop. Edwards and Harvick both took four tires; this call would be the deciding factor that won Busch the race. Busch led the final 17 laps of the race.
This win is Kyle Busch's third consecutive and he has won five of his last six starts in the Nationwide Series.
