NNS Pole Report: Alex Tagliani claims pole in his hometown of Montreal

Hometown native and IndyCar veteran Alex Tagliani will make just his fourth Nationwide start from the pole position tomorrow. "Tags" lap of  96.688 mph around the 15-turns of Circuit Gilles Villeneuve knocked Sam Hornish Jr. from the pole. This is Tagliani's first pole in his NASCAR career.

Jacques Villeneuve, son of track namesake Gilles, rolls off in third and will need to redeem himself following Road America. Keep an eye on him tomorrow!

Looking at the points leaders: Elliott Sadler will start in 17, while second place driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. starts one position ahead. Sam Hornish, third in points, has the best starting position of the points contenders.
